Our Club members build and create Model Railways. We share resources and skills. NCMRC Members get together for community and a laugh. Bring along your own trains and run them on the layouts.
By working in miniature we can use a variety of skillsets such as miniature engineering, architectural and scenery modelling, electrical soldering and wiring, and digital programming with the likes of Arduino.
We showcase the Hobby for the enjoyment of our members, families, and the public. You will find us at Model Shows and Community events.
The Hobby
Enthusiasts from all ages and stages are modelling trains. It is still a hugely popular passtime. The hobby offers many different skills and learning experiences.

The use of 3D Printers, DCC Digital Control and special effects, wiring and soldering skilss, programming with Arduino and other languages, and modelling are all part of the process. By getting involved you can enhance opportunities and learning for all ages.
